We’re having a seriously mild winter here in Toronto. I’m not really complaining – I hate the cold – but I love snow and winter isn’t the same without it! It’s also tough to find shit to do when you don’t really love winter sports. All I want is perfect, snowy winter goodness– think: fireplace, wood beams, board games, knit socks, hearty stews, quiet music and endless piles of books. Kind of like the trip I took last October to Quebec. I need a getaway.
well, hello there
18 OctAnd just like that – it’s over. I’m back in Toronto and the trip I’ve been dreaming of for years and years is over. Was it amazing? Absolutely. Will I be talking about it for the next few weeks almost non-stop? Undoubtably.
For the moment, I have to get my life back in order. Organize my home and settle back into work. There’s so much to say and I want to put it all up on here, it will just take a little time.
In other life goings ons, I went to the dreamiest wedding this past Saturday and spent the night in Orangeville, ON. So so so much to blog about that alone (once I get photo permission from the beautiful bride, obv). The transition from Europe back to Canada was also made easier after a fantastic stay at the McKitrick Inn and Sunday drives down windy country roads, antique shopping and laying down in crunchy coloured leaves with a very handsome boy. All in all, the past two weeks have been close to perfect and provided lots of fodder for the next few posts.
Oh, and my birthday is on Friday. I was born in 1980. So yes, this is a big one. (dontwanttosayitdontmakemesayit). What a TFGIF that’s gonna make.
Missed you! x
