Disclaimer: This post is a little “Dear Diary”. Fair warning.
This is where two very good friends of mine married each other on Saturday. A cottage lawn on Inverhuron. Such a beautiful setting that I had to force myself not to turn my head and look out at the water. Bridesmaid duties include paying attention. I might have slipped once. Or twice.
The day before the wedding was foggy Scotland romantic.
We rehearsed and the cottage cat Libby supervised.
This is the reverend telling the groomsmen to behave and not drink before the actual wedding. Good thing Coors Light is mostly water.
I gave my phone to my friends husband to take pics during the ceremony. This was the only snap he took but that’s OK because he managed to get the one person I wanted a picture of in the shot.
I didn’t do much better taking my own photos though:
But that’s the sign of a good wedding, right? Being completely silly and dancing way too much to be bothered to take photos.
That said, I’m never too busy to take a photo of a cat on her back. Especially one who has silent meows and comes over to the cottage I’m staying at to say Hello.
Weddings are complicated affairs, especially when you throw them out-of-town and have to find lodging and transportation for all the guests. But I can understand when you grow up spending summers in a place as beautiful as this, why you’d want to go to the trouble. So very worth it.

Nothing cuter than a cat’s silent meows!
this is super close to where I live!! I’m in Kincardine:) it’s definitely a beautiful place:)
Lucky! I’m in love with Inverhuron (even the nuclear power plant glow haha)
