Obviously I’m kidding but I did try to steal her steez for my sister’s second wedding in Edmonton, Alberta. The dress was Halston (usually not a fan but the colour blue was too perfect) and the hair was in a high bun (using the bun sponge thingy).
That’s about the only element of this trip I can compare with the lifestyle of CB. I mean, Edmonton. Not even! St. Albert. Quite pretty in the we-all-make-and-spend-mad-dough kind of way – lots of sculpted suburbs and places to shop. I even visited the biggest mall in the worrrrrld. OK maybe not the biggest anymore. Aside from watching my Mother scream for Jesus on the roller coaster (best!), it was just so-so. More of an amusement park than shopping centre. But I digress. Carrie! Pictures!
Right after the hairdressers. I realized I don’t really have the face for a high bun but by then it was too late. I was going with it!
The overall.
And in action.
In summary: I probably would do the bun thing again but maybe a little less polished/more tousled. What do you think? How’d I do? And how could I make it better next time?

Whoa!!! Carrie who?
Either you are paying me a huge compliment or you actually don’t know who Carrie Bradshaw is. Imma go with the former – thanks!
Yeah – somewhat aware of who Carrie Bradshaw is (haven’t *totally* been living under a rock for the past 15 years). Obvs meant as a compliment.
i LOVE this bun on you. i think the polished-ness of it was perfect for your sis’ wedding but i agree – in Toronto, out and about, a little muss is nice to downplay the raging girth of this awesome hairstyle. also, the dress is lovely. much better choice than the yellow Opening Ceremony! the colour is perrrrfect. xoxo
Totally – like this pic (less to the left, more to the right) http://prettypay.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/carrie-bradshaw-hair-high-b.gif?w=300
I still want that OC dress!

FRIG lady, you look hawt, teach me how to bunnnnn
OMG ummm that looks like the church in Morinville. I grew up in Morinville and I would recognize that hideous carpet anywhere!! (I’m right, right?) Anyhoo I live in St. Albert so it’s a very small world indeed!
You are dead on! We stayed at the Best Western in St. Albert (holla to the waffle breakfast bar) and the church and reception were in Morinville. Small world indeed
ps – nice country you got out there!
