fast forward

6 Jul

Imma catch you up:

  • My apartment flooded (again)
  • I flew home for my sister’s wedding
  • I got a bad flu while at home for said wedding
  • I’m currently homeless and living with some (incredibly sweet and generous) friends while my landlord and the condo board duke it out over who’s responsible for the repairs to my sky pod. (NOT ME!)

I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

My Dad was pretty pumped about our firework display…until he tripped over a flower pot and ate dirt (literally). That was Canada Day/Rehearsal Dinner

In typical A Personality fashion, I refused to let Stephanie leave the makeup chair until her (fake) lashes were perfect. This isn’t amateur hour, people!

The limo was BUSTED. Nice one Mom. Seriously, like the door handles broke off and we couldn’t put down the windows. Also, instead of champagne glasses there were pint glasses. Like I said, BUSTED. But served as the thing we died laughing about later so there’s that.

There is so much joy in this picture. My Mom and Dad got married here too so they did a doorway shot of them and my sister. My Dad was bursting with happiness. Mom too. Hell, we all were! It was just perfect and emotional and wonderful.

Holla! I kept a resolution and went for way-high heels so when I could, I was sitting. When I wasn’t sitting I was oblivious of the pain though because I seriously loved these shoes.

My family plus our new member. He’s so sweet. We all love him to pieces for real. The weather this day was also perfect – this after 24 (?) straight days of cloud and fog too. Warm and sunny. Like mother nature got the memo that my sweet baby sister need some sunshine. (I know this is saccharine but I can’t help it. This wedding made my heart explode).

And…then I came home.

Guys, I don’t really want to get into too much detail about what is happening here because who knows what court I might find myself in one day. Seriously. It is that bad.

If you want to help me, I mean reeeeallly want to help me, then what you can do is give me the name of a legit fortune teller who can fill me in as to why life keeps dishing me hard knocks. Because I’m at a loss.

OK that’s enough for now. I’m off to feed the homeless and help old ladies across the street.

Ugh…I have done the flood thing three times in the house I own now, I finally could afford to fix the perimeter drains and have been dry ever since, I feel for you girl, good luck with it all. The wedding looked beautiful, awesome pictures :)

Sorry to hear about the flood…that sucks :( On a happier note, your sister’s wedding looks and sounds like it was amazing! And you looked stunning…love the bridesmaid dresses and your hot heels! xo

Thank you! Some of my toes are still numb from the shoes (nerve damage?) but it was so worth it. XO
