Bell Island

My Mom grew up on a little island off the coast of Portugal Cove in Newfoundland called Bell Island (or Wabana for the old-school locals). I took the ferry over there nearly every weekend for my first 15 years until Nanny and Poppy moved to the city. From the Cove at Sunset it almost looks like a Greek Island. We used to climb Old Man’s Beard at dusk just to get a good look.

Have no idea what I’m talking about? That’s ok – photos tell the story better than I can anyhow.
